“I never met Mr. Wheelihan, but he was relative and friend of my father, Robert Rossmiller. Dad told some stories about driving (riding) from East Troy, WI to North Dakota with John shortly after WW II ended and spending the summer with the Wheelihans, even painting their home. I later read about that summer trip in John's book about his war time experiences. I'm so sorry for your loss. My father passed away in 2016 at age 96.”
