It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Henry Hanssen of Ellendale, North Dakota, born in Manning, North Dakota, who passed away on July 9, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hanssen and Amelia Hanssen (Steffen); his wife Ethel M. Hansen; his sons, John and David; his grandchildren, Sarah Rachelle and Jonathan; and his siblings, Peter, Fred, Louie, Clara and Kay.
He is survived by: his children, Grace Schrage (Richard), Judith, Paul (Miskey) and Laura Carlson (Mark); his daughters-in-law, Carol and Beth; his brother Clarence; and his sister-in-law Frieda Hanssen. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren.
Because of COVID restrictions, the funeral and graveside services will be for family only and will be on July 24 at the Wildwood Chapel with the Rev. Randall Haedge officiating.
