He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Dathe and Sena Dathe (Arndt); his siblings, Bonita and Arvin; and his brother-in-law Lawrence Aman.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Caron; his children, Loren Dathe (Anita) of Ossian, IN, Mark Dathe (Raulina) of Richmond, TX, Gary Dathe (Kristina) of Ellendale and Gail Dathe of Jamestown, ND; his siblings, Darlene Aman of Ellendale, Lucille Grueneich (Gerald) of Ellendale, Eva Mae Geisert (Louis) of Puyallup, WA, Norman Dathe (Debra) of Rapid City, SD, Ralph Dathe of Lidgerwood, ND, Willard Dathe (Kathy) of Sioux Falls, SD, Donald Dathe (Rebecca) of Geneseo, ND and Kenneth Dathe (Dawn) of Fargo; his great grandchildren, Delilah and Oliver Dathe; and his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Matthew, Lucas, Zachary, Jonathan, Alexander and Katelyn Dathe.
Calvin was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale, Herman Schlinker American Legion Post #137, VFW Post #3545, and the National Arbor Day Foundation.
