He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilbert and Ruth Gilbert; his former wife Joyce; his uncles, Guy and Bob; and his brothers, Mark and Valiant.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Emily Withers (Greg), Brent III, Scott, Andy Gilbert, Paxton, Cody, Clayton, Isabel, Conner and Casey; his great grandchildren, Jacob and Noah of Lansing, MI.; his granddaughter-in-law Peggy Retzlaff (Barton); his sister-in-law Christine Gilbert of Warren, MI; his nieces, Kimberly, Shannon and Stacy; his parents-in-law, Robert and Donna Barton; and his pets, Deuce and Tyra. He is also survived by many extended family members, many special car friends, past co-workers.
Brent contracted Covid-19 and with all his other past health issues his body finally failed him after an amazing fight for health, healing, and life.
