She was predeceased by: her parents, Severin Hanson and Clara Hanson (Gilbertson); her brothers, Theodore "Ted" Hanson and Lester Hanson; her siblings-in-law, John Heasley, Vernon Jacobson and Diane Hanson; and her grandsons, Isaiah Yacko and Mikko Nixon.
She is survived by: her husband Edwin Nixon; her children, Mark Nixon (Dawn) of Frederick, SD, Bonnie Yacko (William) of Gibraltar, MI, LaNette Nagy of Trenton, MI and Lance Nixon (Ruth) of Pierre, SD; and her siblings, Gunder Hanson of Ulen, MN, Violet Jacobson and Loretta Heasley of Onida, SD. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
