He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Steinwand and Ottilia Steinwand (Mammel); his wife Erna; and his siblings, Mary Veland (Ernie), Pauline Dunlap (Fred), Ottilia Manly (Lee) and Clifford Steinwand (Fern).
He is survived by: his brother Snyder Ford; his son Tim Steinwand (Lori) of Ellendale; his sister Adeline Karjalainen (Fred) of Aberdeen; his stepchildren, Faye Reimers (Chuck) of Eden Prairie, MN and Bob Neil of Great Falls, MT.; his grandchildren, Michelle Anderson (Mark) of Eden Prairie, MN and Doug Neil (Darci) of Great Falls; his great grandchildren, Brock, Carter Anderson, Witney Neil (Shawn) and Kody Neil (Katie); and his children, Cerek Krug and Kayden Neil. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Ellendale American Legion Baseball, 61 West Lake Drive, Ellendale, ND 58436.
