He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hochhalter and Elaine Hochhalter; his father-in-law Ralph Meidinger; his siblings-in-law, Sandra Meidinger, Melvin Scherr, Bobby Schock, Larry Veitz and Scott Wolff; and his nephew Buck Schock.
He is survived by: his wife Ronae Hochhalter; his children, Aimee Bachmeier (Eric) and Casey Hochhalter (Kellie); his grandchildren, Maverick, Isaac, Dominic, Sandra Bachmeier, Sylvie, Raina and Miles Hochhalter; his mother-in-law Agnes Meidinger; his sisters, Marilyn Scherr, Susan Schock (Dan Dienstmann), Rhonda Veitz and Lori Wolff; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Vujnovich (Chuck), Robin Bentz (Darvin) and Terry Dachtler (Jeff). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers. Memorials are preferred to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin, ND and North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND.
