He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Vetter and Lydia Vetter (Leischner); his wife Loretta Sprenger; his daughter-in-law Bea; and his siblings, Emil, Edna Schock, Huldah Schulz, Lorraine Zimmerman and Elsie Vetter.
He is survived by: his sons, Ron of Denver, CO and Kerry (Pam); his grandchildren, Kristy Young (George) of Scottsdale, AZ, Amber Moch (Paul) of Mandan, ND and Jordan Vetter (Whitney) of Lincoln, ND; and his stepgranddaughters, Diana Ornelas and Denise Moreno. He is also survived by 1 great-great granddaughter, and numerous great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
