He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Novacek and Anna Novacek (Karsky); his siblings, Robert, Evelyn Gutterud (Raymond), Leo, Edwin, Richard and Bernard; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck, Charlene Margerum (Warner) and Linda Headley (Margerum).
He is survived by: his wife Carol Novacek (Margerum); his children, Jeffrey Novacek (Mary) of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Hertel (Heath) of St Louis Park, MN and Daniel Novacek (Pam) of Winnemucca, NV.; his grandchildren, Samantha, Anna, Jordan, Alexandra, Kyleigh, Elizabeth, Lillian and Lainey; his brother Paul Novacek (Pat); and his siblings-in-law, Alta Novacek, Marie (Margerum), Ken Thompson, Margaret (Margerum), John Kelley, Jim, Shirley Margerum, Kathy (Margerum), Vic Wald, Joanne Headley, Richard, Verlinda Margerum, Bill and Bev Margerum.
