It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Abner Sampson Jr. of Edmore, North Dakota, who passed away on June 18, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Abner Sampson and Mabel Sampson (Trimble); his wife Jackie; his stepson Melvin "Mickey" Hanson Jr.; his grandson Brian Hanson; and his brothers, Milton and Douglas.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Jacquelyn "Jackie" Hanson (Dahlen); his brothers, Frank of Boulder, CO and Clark (Lou) of Edmore; his stepdaughters, Carol Anderson (Lyle) of Orting, WA and Betty Howes (LeRoy) of Edmore; his grandchildren, Carrie, Michael, Janelle, Rick, Becky, Sheila and Jennifer; and his nieces and nephews, Lloyd, Dan, Bruce, Owen, Ned, Beth, Christine and Ellen. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church of Edmore.
