He is survived by: his wife Dianne Schmidt Nygard; his children, Damin Nygard and Elaine Nygard (Chad Stabo); his granddaughter Magnolia Stabo; and his siblings, Karen Gutterud, Laurie Thompson (Randy), Wendy Machart (Loren) and Gary Nygard (Deb). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews he loved.
