He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Steele and Doris Steele (Burnette); and his siblings, Grace, Shirley Burland, Betty Blevins, Gail, Ben and Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Bjornstad; his daughters, Lowann Krueger (Wayne) and Ione Manock (Kevin); his grandchildren, Dwight Steele (Shawn), Cerise VanLuven (Dutch), Mandy Hough, Holly Krump, Isaac Steele (Chelsey), Taylor Krueger, Grant Manock, Mason Steele and Conor Steele; and his siblings, Evelyn Genzel, Margaret Steele and Jim Steele (Mary). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
