He was predeceased by: his father Gary Sr. Poitra; his siblings, Stuart, Conway Poitra and Mary Poitra; and his grandson Kalob.
He is survived by: his mother Ramona C. Poitra; his significant other Janelle Wallette; his close friend Janelle Wallette; his children, Tanya Poitra, Kayla Houle (Ron) and Skylar Poitra; and his siblings, Alan Poitra-Larsen (Mark), Roger Poitra, Linda Davis (Ron), Cynthia Marion (Terry), Nancy Poitra and Leslie Peterson (Scott). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
