He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine Thompson (Mattson); his daughter Becky; his great grandchild Sophia Lenmark; and his parents, Willard Olson and Mabel Olson.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Woinarowicz (Todd) of Drayton, ND, Chris Olson (Marcia) of Grafton, ND, Richard Thompson (Susan) of Mascoutah, IL, Robert Thompson (Joanne) of Morris, MN, Shelly Stewart (Mike) of Baudette, MN and Renae Tveit (Ron) of Warroad, MN.; and his great grandchildren, Whitney Rasmussen (Grant), Justin Tveit (Sara), Alissa Allen (Barnaby), Angela Vershey (Kyle), Allison Lenmark (Dan), Kristen Meng (Craig), Kelly Beasley (Thomas), Kara Loden (Jonathan), Kim Magathan (Michael), Claire Olson, Cory Blanchard (Melissa Agnew), Melissa Blanchard (Kevin Hopke) and Grandchildren-Dylan Woinarowicz.
