He is survived by: his wife Lynn Starr-Gunn; his children, Chan Big Knife, Jason Big Knife, Casey Big Knife, Kim Big Knife (Leroy Windy Boy), Julia Black Wolf (Robert) and Dorcas Big Knife; his brothers, Fred Gunn, III (Rae) and Faron Gunn; his stepmother Marie Gunn; and his stepsons, Bluesky Starr and Anthony Starr. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
