He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Simek (Sykora); his son Adrian; his wife Mary Ann Splichal; his brother Joey Simek; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Brydl and Shalley Simek (Schobinger).
He is survived by: his children, Richard (Paule), Kenneth (Barb), Lorraine Duncan (Montey) and Laurie Heinert (Kevin); and his siblings, George Simek (Bernice) and Betty Brydl. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
