He was predeceased by: his parents, John Waleri and Anna Waleri (Willer); his former wife Sachiko Takemoto; his daughter Linda Haas; and his sisters, Elizabeth Waleri, Magdalena Kolva, Margaret Waleri, Ethelyn Martin and Evelyn Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Krauter Elberg of Dickinson; his son Jacob Jr. (Sandy) of Greensboro, NC; his grandson Charles J. Disharoon (Jaime) of Columbia, SC; his great grandchildren, Cooper, Benjamin, Penelope and Sawyer; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Greene (Christian) of Spartanburg, SC. He is also survived by 11 nieces and 9 nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stevenson Funeral Home - Dickinson (2067 1st St W, Dickinson, ND 58601). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (310 2nd St W, Dickinson, ND 58601).
