He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Hagel and Kathrina Hagel; his wife Doris; his siblings, Tina Etten, Ida Malsam, Leah Reuer, Edwin, Walter, David, Julius, Hilbert and Irvin; and his grandson Joseph.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Murray (Jeff) and Rocky Hagel (Toni); his grandchildren, Travis Winn, Tiffany Grosche (Travis), Taren Winn, Quay Hagel (Lesley) and Misty Iverson (Shawn); his great grandchildren, Hallie (Ryan), Lexi, Avrie, Dejah, Cole, Hunter, Makinly, Draven, Layka, Tryker, Ryder, Opal, Oakley and Jett; his great great grandchildren, Aria, Huxley, Everett and Mateo; his great grandchild Sister Emma Kramlich; and his siblings-in-law, Stevan Dewald (Connie), Laural Dewald and Helen Hagel.
