She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hegel and Rose Hegel (Steckler); her husband Joseph H. Maus of Joseph's Catholic Church; her children, Bob and Kathy Eckes (Maus); and her siblings, Alex Hegel, Marian Hegel, Veronica Barth and Rose Sticka.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Mayer (Clifford) of Dickinson and Donald Maus (Susie) of Dickinson; and her children-in-law, Sheryl Maus and Bob Eckes (Pat).
In her later years Betty converted her garden into a pumpkin patch with proceeds donated to St. Joseph's Youth Group.
