He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Hanson and Eleanor Hanson (Farstad); and his brother Keith. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lacey; his daughter Julie Ladner (Scott); his grandchildren, Ally and Mandy; his son Luke Hanson; his grandchildren, Laycee of Minot, ND and Danni of Minot, ND; his close friend Carol Settel Hjelmstad; his former wife Joyce Hanson; his brothers, Mick Hanson (Sharon) and Duane Hanson (Darlene); his sister-in-law Sheila Hanson; and his children, Kevin Settel (Dawn), Connie Murphy (David), Jeff Settel (late Linda), Robert Settel Jr. (Shikha), Jocelyn Holmberg (late Loren), Matthew Settel, Alexander Settel (Kim), Gabriel Settel (Jennifer) and Sarah Vetsch (Joey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; Many of these family members.
