She was predeceased by: her former husband Gary Irwin; and her parents, George Gowan and Carolyn Gowan. She is survived by: her husband Charlie Schmaltz of Devils Lake, ND; her children, Jeff Irwin (Melanie) of West Fargo, ND and Debbie Landeis (Shawn) of Forest River, ND; her grandchildren, Carly Bjerke (Tanner), Emylee Kilichowski (Logan), Zack Landeis and Taylor Irwin (Betsy); her siblings, Margaret Swenson (Harley) of Bismarck, ND and Bill Gowan (Orrinne) of Devils Lake, ND.; and also Parker Bjerke.
