She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Hastings and Cassie Hastings (Gillis); her husbands, James "JD" Nelson Sr. and Cameron Mikkelsen; her children, Allan Nelson and Deb Peterson; her daughter-in-law Deb Nelson; her siblings, Bonnie Post and Lloyd Hastings; and her stepson Glen Mikkelsen.
She is survived by: her children, Jim, Coralie "Corky" Nelson of Beulah, ND, Danny Nelson and Donna Wolf of Devils Lake; her grandchildren, Jamie Nelson (Maranda), Joey Nelson (Angie), Justin Nelson (Amber), Josh Nelson (Amy), Tessa Peterson, Tiffany Peterson (Corey Ebach), Preston Peterson (Brittany), Alexandria Fortney (Jon), Allison Pagnac (Tyson), Brandt Wolf (Arlene) and Keaton Wolf (Lynae); her stepsons, Brian Mikkelsen (Van-Ha-Nguyea) of Rancho Cordova, CA, Forrest Mikkelsen (Kari) of Grand Rapids, MN and Paul Mikkelsen (Nancy) of Spear Fish, SD; her sister Myrna Nicholauson of Fargo, ND; and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Hastings of Crookston, MN, Alta Hallof of Larimore, ND, Lauraine Troftgruben, Marit Petrek (Gary) of Jamestown, ND, Kenneth Post of Frazee, MN and Bert Mikkelsen.
