He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zettler and Minnie Zettler (Thompson); his siblings, William Zettler, Edward Zettler and Mary Hoffart; and his in-laws, George and Frances Eback.
He is survived by: his daughter Lorraine Zettler; his grandchildren, Courtney Zettler (Jason Phillips) of Portland, OR, Abbigale Zettler of Devils Lake, Austin Zettler of Devils Lake, Isabella Grace Johnson and Douglas William John Schmick; his brother Mikkel (Judy Zettler) of Devils Lake; and his brother-in-law Bernhard Eback of Leeds. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gilbertson Funeral Home (509 U. S. Rte 2, Devils Lake, ND 58301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
