She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilhelmi and Elizabeth Wilhelmi (Mack); her husband Leonard O. Melland; her sons-in-law, Duane Larson and Patrick Blackaby; and her siblings, Joe, Mike, Ralph, John, Anthony "Tony", Henry "Hank", Frank Wilhelmi, Ann Schmidt, Aileen Bachman and Kay Kelly.
She is survived by: her children, Glenna Larson of Starkweather, ND, Lynn Melland (Jane) of Elk River, MN and Angela Blackaby of Oklahoma City, OK; and her grandchildren, Darrel Larson, Dale Larson (Shelley), Tamara Rysavy, Melissa Bezuidenhout (Petrus) of Park River, ND, Darren Melland (Marie) of Cambridge, MN, Lonnie Melland (Jennifer) of Elk River, MN, Keith Melland (Julie) of Ramsey, MN, Kent Smith (Gail) of Houston, TX and Kim Watts of Arkansas.
