He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Ridley and Marie Ridley; his parents-in-law, Richard and Shigeko Burdick; his brother Gerald Ridley; and his brother-in-law Donald Mattheis.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Burdick of Bismarck, ND; his children, Michael Allen and Cheri Marie; his children-in-law, Christy Ridley of Fargo, ND and Jordan Schantz of Hazen, ND; his grandchildren, Alexandra Ryan (Jordan) of Fargo, ND, Amanda Ridley of Fargo, ND, Devin Ridley of Fargo, ND, Ethan Schantz and Lizabeth Schantz of Hazen, ND.; his siblings, John Ridley (Margaret), Judy Mattheis and Jean Blair (Robert); his parents-in-law, Jim Burdick (Nancy), Joe Burdick (Kim) and Sally Dahl (Rob); and his uncle Ray Burkhard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be given to the James A. and Rosemary Ridley Endowed Scholarship at University of Mary.
