He was predeceased by : his wife Joanne Marie Walter; his parents, George and Mina; and his siblings, Evelyn Copenbarger, Lloyd Durbin, Daniel Durbin and Robert Durbin.

He is survived by : his son Richard A.; his daughter-in-law Becky Durbin; his son Paul A. Durbin of Grand Forks, ND.; his grandchildren, Matthew Durbin (Patrick) of Fargo, ND, Trisha Adamson (Ben) of Woodbury, MN, Heather Nelson (Mitch) of Monticello, MN and Christopher Durbin; his great grandchildren, Holly, Collin Durbin, Anna, Lauren, Ella Adamson, Cameron, Cooper Libby, Riann, Reese and Drew Nelson; his brother John Durbin (Angela) of Rosemont, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Walter, Tom Walter (Suzanne) and Jean Wilhelmi (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gilbertson Funeral Home (509 U. S. Rte 2, Devils Lake, ND 58301).
