He was predeceased by: his father Sherman Hagen; and his sister Renell Suchor. He is survived by: his mother Cheryl Hagen of Roseglen, ND; his adoptive father Marvin Franklin; his children, Emma and Evan of Bismarck, ND; and his sisters, Rhonda Kingsley (Randy) of Fargo, ND and Marchell Walker (Monte) of Surrey, ND. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Chad's name are preferred to Makoti Threshing Show, S Main St, Makoti, ND 58756.
