We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2023, at the age of 102, Averiel E. Wood of Devils Lake, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fleming and Harriet Fleming (Eller); her former husband Paul E. Wood Sr.; her sons, Emerson Wood and John Wood; her son-in-law Alvin Myers; her grandchildren, Mathew Wood, Brandon Wood, David Rotenberger and Laurie Bischof; and her siblings, Herman (Jen), Norman (Emma), Willard, Gaylen (Opal), Jerry, Gene Fleming and Vonnie Weisenberger (Richard).
She is survived by: her husband Hereford; her children, William Wood (Val) of Warwick, Janice Myers of Jamestown and Lois Wilhelmi of Devils Lake; her daughters-in-law, Lynette Wood and Sharon Wood; her sisters, Muriel Stilwell (Don) and Glena Gjestvang; her sisters-in-law, Marlyss Fleming and Cleo DePlazes; and also, Rodney Bischof, Bradley Wood (Michelle), Brian Wood (Margaret), Lisa Schmidt (Brian), Tim Wood (Beth), Lonnie Rotenberger, Melody Sowders (Doug), Shelley Aabrekke (Tracy), John Allan Wood, Denise Waldie (Curt), Jessica Herrick (Matt), Kristin Brodell (Matt), Evan Wood (Morgan Brandt), Nichole Olson (Bill), Miranda Mathison (Jon Fuchs) and Scott Miller (Chelsea Rallo). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 1 grandchild, 36 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Warwick Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army.
