Tollefson of Devils Lake, North Dakota, born in Maddock, North Dakota, who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Tollefson and Ruby Tollefson (Hovey); his grandson Jay Garcia; his stepchildren, Nels Nelson (Meg), Lori Keller (Ron), Donna Redinger (Dale), Kate Johnson (Bob Dewey), Lisa Hawley (Scott), Sara Hesse (Doug Yankton) and Trent Hesse (Marvin Pierson); his nieces and nephews, Duane Stadum (Corinne), Robert Hanson (Dianne), Irene Cudworth, Donna Gutschmidt (Paul), Betty Solwey (John) and Linda Otheim; his wife Ruth Varty; his siblings, Rudolph Tollefson, Clarence Tollefson, Mabel Stadum (Orville) and Helen Hanson (Henry); and his grandson Dustin Vallier. He was also cherished by 28 grandchildren, 35 precious great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Arne and Ruth donated their one-room house which was full of their antique treasures to the City of Maddock for all to enjoy.
