It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlen D. Blumer in Devils Lake, North Dakota, born in Walcott, North Dakota, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Blumer and Otillie "Tillie" Blumer (Walberg); and his in-laws, Ethel Roesler, Gordon Graff, Evelyn Blumer, Marilyn Roesler, Jerry Lindell, John Lindell and Jeff Lindell.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Elaine Roesler; his children, Brian Blumer (Char) of Pelican Rapids, MN, Laine Larson (Warren) of Brainerd, MN and Ward Blumer (Jill) of Golden Valley, MN; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Conkins (Brandon), Nicholas Blumer (Patty), Alex Blumer, Elise Severson (Brett), Lauren Knutson (Luke), Margo Blumer and Abby Blumer; his great grandchildren, Kate Conkins, Hattie Conkins, Braydon Blumer, Brody Blumer, Briggs Blumer, Margaret Severson and Mya Knutson; his siblings, Irene Graff, Boyd Blumer, Karen Heyen (Leonard) and Cherie Trottier (Andy); and his in-laws, Leon Roesler (Carol), Bonnie Dittmer (Dave), Janette Thompson (Ronnie) and Dale Roesler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Boulger Funeral Home (123 10th St S, Fargo, ND 58103). A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Fargo National Cemetery (8709 40th Ave NW, Harwood, ND 58042).
