He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Swartwout and Gladys Swartwout (Hansen); his sisters, Ramona Smith and Laurene Weber; and his nephew Don Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Swartwout; his sons, Corey Swartwout (Aimee) of Minot and Bill Swartwout of Minot; and his grandchildren, Ashlee Swartwout, Hunter Swartwout (Sarah Haynes) of Denver, CO, Andrew Swartwout of Minot and Brenna Swartwout of Minot. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
