He is survived by: his spouse Linda Onstad; his children, Rick (Allison), Chris (Jane) and Shelley (Monday); his grandchildren, Kyle, Paul, Zac Ranistae, Elizabeth Green (Brandon), Meghan Ranisate, James Nirva, Oarhe Osagie, Kristofer Jones, Kaleb Osagie, Benjamin, Bethany Green and Johanna Ranisate; his siblings, Larry (Linda) and Sue Pladson; his mother-in-law Evelyn Dietrich; and his sister-in-law Judy Hofmann (Fred).
