He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Owens and Irene Owens; his brother Ron; his father-in-law LeRoy Nypen; and his sister-in-law Garilyn.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Nypen; his sons, Brent (Shelley), Jeremy (Jana Enger) and Christopher (Jessica); his mother-in-law Ruby Nypen; his grandchildren, Dylan Owens, Camden Owens, Dylan Enger, Caitlyn Enger, Carson Enger, Easton Owens and Londyn Owens; his siblings, Carl (Cora), Ken (Laurie), Brenda (Ed) and Marcia; and his siblings-in-law, Martha, Jerry (Sandy), James (Tess) and Corey (Melinda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Luke's Medical Center, Crosby, ND.
