He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Nygaard and Myrtle Nygaard; his children, Kayla Dawn Nygaard and Levi Kyle Nygaard; his brother Kent; his sister-in-law Bev Nygaard; his nephews, Lynn (Andrea) and Lee Nygaard (Crissy); and his close friend Aaron Schultz. He was also cherished by numerous great nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
