He was predeceased by: his parents, Torger Soma and Inga Soma (Njaa) of Cooperstown, ND.; his wife Beverly; his sister Georgine (Earl Lynnes); his siblings-in-law, Larry Rislov, Kitty and Ardean Nelson; and his niece Paula Jacobson.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy (Tom Gawronski) and Tim (Deb Soma) of Cooperstown; his grandchildren, Hannah (Jeremy Schmidgall) and Travis Soma (Alyssa Jacobsen) of Cooperstown; his great grandchildren, Tayden, Porter, Brodyn and Boone of Vining, MN.; his siblings, Peggy (Angela Andrist) of Eagan, MN, Kaarin (Toufik Bouzino) of Crosby, TX, Karla Rislov of Badger, MN and David of Mandan, ND.; and his brothers-in-law, Sully Kloster (Linda) of Sharon, ND and Jim Kloster (Karen) of Mesa, AZ.
