It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Planteen Johnson (Cogswell, North Dakota), who passed away on April 23, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Schneider and Gertie Schneider (Thompson); her husbands, Lloyd Planteen and Vernon Johnson; her daughter Julie Planteen; her brother Donald Schneider; and her granddaughter Dana Rose Planteen.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne Anderson (Harley), Lyle Planteen (Gayle), Eldon Planteen (Denise), Bernard Planteen (Penny), Julianne Cookson (William) and Charles Planteen (Lisa); her stepchildren, Dale Johnson (Jean) and Ted Johnson (Mary); and her siblings, Gerald Schneider (Dorthy), Marilyn Likness and Karen St (Roger). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Due to the current restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Sargent Cemetery of Cogswell.
