He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Thayer and Mavis Thayer (Stabnow); his sisters, Lee Ann Thayer and Linda Holmgren; his granddaughter Shelby Thayer; and his niece Kandi Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine (Bernstein); his children, Scott Thayer and Lisa Thayer (Bruce); his grandchildren, Landon Thayer (Alesha), Lexi Engelhart (Jordan) and Taylor Himanga; his great grandchildren, Madisyn, Tyler, Kirra, Sadie, Easton, Aubrey, Ella and Greyson; his siblings, Randy Thayer (Kathy), Marlys Behnke (Neil) and Pam Gehring (Ron); and his close friends, Kevin Jensen and Chad Heimbuch.
