He is survived by: his wife Rona Roe; his son Cortney (Lynette); his grandchildren, Carson Schutt and Braelyn Banda; his siblings, Mike Schutt (Tammey) of Center and Karen Miller (Kelly) of Center; his nieces and nephews, Randy Schutt (Stacey), Terry Schutt (Shannon), Lincoln, Shantell Schutt (Jake), BreAnna (Dillon) and Colton Mandan (Eden); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jess Wickenheiser (Myron), Kristy Bradley (Bryan) and Lisa Lageson (Jim); his in-law Bill Roe (Carolyn) of Ocean Shores, WA; and his sister-in-law Kelly Dickens (Tex) of Tacoma, WA..

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Weigel Funeral Home (309 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND 58554). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

He met many people in the band and his 14+ years of donating his time as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader.
