It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Tongen of Cavalier, North Dakota, who passed away on November 27, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olafur Einarson and Ethel Einarson (Bjornson); her husband Clair Tongen; her siblings, Dennis Einarson, Bill Einarson, Judy Klindt, Lorraine Chaput, Fern Stabo, Olivia Veer, Mavis Akset, Doreen Nelson and Inga; and her son-in-law Richard Graham (Dick).
She is survived by: her daughter Constance Graham; her grandchildren, Sean Graham (Elane) and Heather Graham; her son Joel Tongen (Loretta); her grandsons, Erik and Adam Tongen (Ana); her daughter Karen Kemnitz (Darrell); her grandchildren, Ryan Kemnitz (Jenna) and Rachel Ramsay (Marcus); her daughter Becky Ault (Lynn); her grandchildren, Stephanie, Julie Kemnitz (Nik), Katelyn and Richard "Ricky"; and her great grandchildren, Finnegan, Mason, Samantha Graham, Bodie Graham, Harper, Holden Tongen, Ava, Henry, Everett Kemnitz, Nora, Jade Ramsay, Ivy and Charlee Kemnitz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Borg Pioneer Memorial Home, 61 Borg Drive, Mountain, ND 58265.
