Though Gilbert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Sr. Hornbaker and Eva Hornbaker (Vaughn); and his sister Joyce. He is survived by: his half-brother William Hornbaker of Ketchikan, AK; and his nephews, David Stark (Stella) and Stefan Stark (Ricarda).
