He is survived by: his children, Bruce Burt (Paula) of Fargo, ND, Diane Yokom (Terry) of Detroit Lakes, MN and Connie Akers (Steve) of Barnesville, MN; his grandchildren, Trevis Burt (Kelly), Bryce Yokom (Uyen), McKensie Yokom (Kenny), Alyssa Oftedahl (Trent), Maci Hall (Tyler), Jon Chandler (Heather), Jill Satkunam (Ken), Kari Haggerty (Brandon), Dustin Akers (Jenna) and Stacia Zimprich; and his sister Grace Reck. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
