He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Heuchert and Mathilda Heuchert (Pfeifer); his sister Lenora Sommer; his brothers-in-law, Laverne Sommer and Richard Karel; and his nephew David Heuchert.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Karel; his daughters, Kathy Guidinger of West Fargo, ND, Karen Heuchert of Eden Prairie, MN and Kristi Maas (Ivan) of Wahpeton, ND; his grandchildren, Marie Milbrandt (Brett), Colin Guidinger (Jana Beattie), Dexter Guidinger (Nicole Crummy), Harrison Maas (Lana) and Preston Maas; his brother Larry Heuchert (Ida); and his sister-in-law Donna Karel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
