He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Sell and Valda Sell (Schneider); his nephews, Michael Strom, Ryan Helgeson and Matt Sell; and his brothers-in-law, Maurice Helgeson and Marvin Christianson.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Helgeson; his son Robert (Jessica); his grandchildren, Carlie and Dylan Sell; his brothers, Ronald (Shirley) of Casselton and Donald (Paula) of Fargo; and also, Gerry Helgeson (Linda), Bethel Christianson, James Helgeson (Karlene), Ed Helgeson (Heidi) and Sue Wagner (Allen). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
