Darrel Jerome Block Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darrel Jerome Block of Carpio, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Block and Blanche Block (Connelly); his stepmother Lillian Block (Olson); his siblings, Wilfred Block, Warren Block, Lavonne Clark and Lila Block; and his nephews, Kent Block, Brent Clark and Todd Larson.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Block; his children, Craig Block, Judy Block (Richard Relph) of Austin, TX, Scott Block (Amy) and Shane Block (Kari); his grandchildren, Tyler Hunter (Kelsey), Sophia Ranous, Matthew Block, Zachary Block, Dillon Block, Ethan Block and Bailey Block; his great grandchildren, Ayden, Alayna and Bryson Hunter; and his half-sister Sharon Block. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpio Lutheran Church (200 2nd St W, Carpio, ND 58725). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
