He was predeceased by: his father Joseph D'Aco; his siblings, Robert Vernon, George, John "Jack", Rose Marie O. S. F. of Hankinson, S. B. of St. Joseph and Elizabeth Farbo (Betty); and his granddaughter Kaitlyn Marie Simmons.
He is survived by: his friend Bailey; his wife Marguerite Buchl; his children, Mary Freund-Braun (Paul), Kathleen Hanson (John), Jacqueline Simmons (Gary), Thomas Freund (Judy), Julie Marsh (David), Anne McCallum (Kevin), Carla McDonald (Grady), Jason Freund and Meghan Grenier (Steven); his grandchildren, Hayden Braun, Morgan Gilke (Hanson), Jacqueline Hanson, Cass Simmons, Lindsay Bauman (Simmons), Eliza, Cecilia Freund, Kathleen Marsh (Jack Anderson), Jennifer Marsh, Jessica, Meghan, Zane McCallum, Tom, John McDonald, Adriana, Sylvia and Julia Grenier; and his great grandchildren, Beau and Hattie Bauman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Wayne Freund Music Scholarship at North Star School.
