He was predeceased by: his father Vine Lord; and his siblings, Robert and Marilyn. He is survived by: his wife Myrna Berg; his daughters, Janelle Lord of Medicine Lake, MN, Trudy Kanwischer, Dona Lord of Fargo, ND, Marlys Lord Carlson and Middle; his grandsons, Alex Kanwischer, Sam Kanwischer, Zachary Carlson and Nicholas Carlson; and his sister-in-law Shelley Lord of Cando, ND..

In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the International Peace Garden, 10939 Highway 281, Dunseith, ND 58329.
