He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; his daughter Rhonda Huizenga; his grandson Marc Blikre; his siblings, Evelyn Medlang (Kenneth), Wesley Jost, Leone Carson (Raymond) and Blaine Jost; and his parents-in-law, Jack O'Brien (Laura), Kathleen Sauvageau (Emil), Ruby O'Brien, Lucille Schichel (Al), Joyce Bollong (Edward), Don O'Brien (Rose) and Pat O'Brien.
He is survived by: his children, Curt Allen Jost (Darla) of Burlington, Jacqueline Sue Blikre (Gregg) of Gillette, WY and Brian Dale Jost (Kari Jo Sauer) of Coleharbor; his son-in-law Larry Huizenga of Minot; his grandchildren, Cari Olson (Cory), Daniel Jost (Kristi), Kelly Blikre-Howell (Lucas), Shawn Huizenga (Katlyn Nogosek), Sara Huizenga (Shayne Lunki), Dustin Jost (Erika Landro), Lacey Jost and Jay Jost; his great grandchildren, Kayli, Rylan Olson, Gunnar, Halle Jost, Jack Howell, Emmett Huizenga and Hunter Jost; his siblings, Clarence Jost (Roberta) of Hettinger, Gwen Sauvageau of Dickinson and Elda Faye Solberg of Phoenix; and his mothers-in-law, Donna Jost of Williston, Dixie Jost of Everett, WA and Birdie O'Brien of Billings. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
