He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva McCroskey and Alve McCroskey; his brother Donald McCroskey; his mother-in-law Sally Blair; and his sister Jeanette Williams (Jim).
He is survived by: his wife Brenda McCroskey; his children, David Tollefson, Kimberly Carmines (Daniel), Jimmy McCroskey (Jessica), Jennifer Rooks (Josh), Jeffery McCroskey (Brittney), Jackie, Jessica, Jamie and Joey McCroskey; his grandchildren, Ashley Rooks, Addison McCroskey, Trinity McCroskey, Jayden McCroskey, Shelby Humphrey, Annika McCroskey, Jeffery McCroskey, Ainsley McCroskey and Nikita McCroskey; and his siblings, Darrell McCroskey (Marilyn) and Pat Cossette. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
