He was predeceased by: his father Irvin Bliss; his siblings, Dorothy and Ralph; his son Lyle; and his son-in-law Dan Nudell.
He is survived by: his former wife Esther Otto; his daughters, Ruth and Leona; his wife Sharon; his daughters, Linda (Nudell), Brenda Schaible (Dennis), Dianne Pierce (Tony) and Loretta Sperle (Elroy); and his daughter-in-law Jolyn Bliss. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two younger sisters.
