It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leona Elizabeth Funk of Bowbells, North Dakota, who passed away on February 8, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Kling and Bertha Kling (Herman); her husband Arnold J. Funk; her granddaughters, Samantha Wald and Robyn Essler; and her siblings, Gustav, Harry, Arthur, George, Walter, Clifford, Frederick Kling and Esther Bowman.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Funk of Bismarck, ND, Joyce Wald (Ray), Ramona Hamlin (George), Jerome Funk of Williston, ND, Linda Davis, Janice Ralston, James Funk (Stacey), Sandra Essler (Kim), John Funk (Heidi) and David Funk (Sheila). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
It is required for those attending to wear masks and social distance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Bowbells Fire Dept., the Bowbells Ambulance, or the Bowbells City Park.
